Message From The Principal
A Message from Our Principal
Dear WISH Academy Families and Community,
It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I introduce myself as the Principal of WISH Academy High School. I am beyond thrilled to join this incredible community and begin this journey with our students, families, and educators.
From the moment I learned about WISH Academy, I was inspired by our shared commitment to students, equity, and growth. I am eager to learn about each and every member of our community—your strengths, your passions, and the incredible work that has shaped this school into a place of possibility. I know that the heart of our great school is our community, and I feel so fortunate to be joining a space where talent, care, and dedication run deep.
As I step into this role, I want you to know that I value clear communication, deep listening, and authentic collaboration. I believe the best ideas come from collective brilliance, and I'm committed to sustaining a culture where all voices are heard, respected, and empowered.
I'm especially excited to join a community that centers its work around the powerful theme of cultivating kindness. Our commitment to meet every challenge with kindness first is not only one of my own guiding values—it's a bold and beautiful stance that guides how we support each other and our students. I believe that kindness cannot be passive; it has to be intentional, courageous, and transformative. As we face the challenges and celebrate the successes of each school year, we do so grounded in compassion, patience, and the belief that every member of our community deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for.
At the core of our work is a shared vision based on equity and achievement—that every student who walks through our doors is capable of achieving their highest and most meaningful potential. Together, we will continue to nurture a school environment that challenges, supports, and inspires young people to grow as scholars, creators, leaders, and citizens.
I bring over 15 years of educational leadership experience, including work as an Assistant Principal, IB Program Director, and Special Services Coordinator. My expertise includes curriculum development, college and career pathway development, restorative practices, social emotional learning, and STEAM integration. I hold a Master of Education and am completing my Doctor of Psychology, reflecting my commitment to evidence-based practices and continuous growth.
Please know that my door is always open—for a conversation, a question, a concern, or simply to connect. I'm here to support our students and families, work alongside our community, and build something extraordinary together.
With genuine excitement and appreciation,
Ms. Christa HollisPrincipal, WISH Academy High School
