What is GoGuardian?

GoGuardian is the platform WISH uses to improve the safety of our school by filtering and monitoring the online activity of our students. This includes tools for teachers to monitor and direct student activity during classes to help them stay focused, 24/7 school-wide filters to block inappropriate and time-wasting websites, as well as several levels of alerts for staff to respond to concerning online activity, including self-harm, that may require urgent or immediate intervention. GoGuardian offers the GoGuardian Parent app for families of students. 

Uses of GoGuardian Parent for parents/guardians at ES, MS, & HS

• Top 5 lists of your child's online activity
  Several top 5 lists showing your child's top 5 websites visited, Google files viewed, apps and extensions used, and YouTube videos viewed. You can filter by date ranges up to the most recent 30 days.
• Your child's full browsing history for the last 30 days
  Access a complete 30-day chronology of your student's online activity, including sites visited, the time visited, time spent on the site, as well as attempts to visit blocked sites.
• A summary of teacher interventions
  View a summary of teacher actions taken during class sessions, including locking/unlocking screens, tabs opened/closed by the teacher, and websites blocked during a session.
• Internet access controls at home
  Create your own filters and limits beyond the school's 24/7 filters. Restrict additional sites, set time limits, set schedules, and pause internet access as needed.

Getting started with GoGuardian Parent

1. Download the GoGuardian Parent app from the App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android).
2. Launch the app and enter your email address registered with the school.
3. Check your email for a confirmation email with a link and verification code to complete the sign up process.
