Enrichment and Leadership Opportunities

WISH Elementary believes in offering scholars a variety of extracurricular activities in order to enrich each student's academic environment and social-emotional well being. In addition to the WLAED enrichment activities through our After School program, as well as our Evolution Sports teams, students are encouraged to get involved in leadership opportunities as well.
Student Council
Student Council is a great way for students to be involved in the WISH Community! Student Council members are student leaders and role models for their peers around campus. During meetings, student leaders get the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other council members to enact change around campus, encouraging monthly character traits to be exemplified by their classmates.

Students also have the opportunity to contribute their voice to the monthly school newspaper called the Owl Post. Students get to write articles of their choosing, exploring current events around campus, in their classrooms and in the greater community. This is a great way for students to practice using their voices in a powerful way.

Student Council is available to all 3rd-5th grade students to participate in!.Students can choose to join as a general member, or run for a specific position including President, Vice President, and Grade-Level Representative.
Kindness Club

Kindness Club has become a hallmark at WISH Elementary, a weekly Wednesday gathering where our students learn what it means to show kindness and empathy to others. Led by our star 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Adrien Murphy, our young scholars explore social-emotional topics, make crafts related to that week's kindness theme (like dream catchers, glitter jars and gratitude journals), and connect with students from other classes and grades.
