Universal Meal Service Available for 2025 - 2026!
On July 9, 2021, Assembly Bill (AB) 130 was passed to allow the state of California to provide 2 FREE MEALS each school day to every student (TK – 12). Under this legislation, schools will be required to serve two nutritionally compliant meals to students who are on campus each day school is in session. For WISH students, this will be breakfast and lunch.
There is no fee for student meals this year; however, we kindly request that families order meals for their students in advance using our EZ-Apps platform. Students are NOT REQUIRED to participate in school meals, and parents/caregivers or students can select some days only or some meals only (i.e., breakfast every day but lunch only on Friday). Please ensure that you place your orders for all your children using our official ordering platforms.

NSLP APPLICATION FORMS AND ALTERNATE INCOME FORMS
WISH requests that all families complete either a Lunch Application Form or the Alternate Income Form. Completion of these documents may mean thousands of additional funds for our school!
Schools receive federal and state funding based on the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Additional school funding is allocated to districts that have students who meet the criteria of being English Learners, Foster Youth, and/or Socio-Economically Disadvantaged. To receive these additional funds, WISH must be able to identify if each child meets one or more of the above criteria.
Completing this document may also entitle families to receive additional benefits, including free or reduced costs on child care, utility bills, and testing fees (AP, SAT), enabling them to receive scholarships and P-EBT benefits.

WISH Community School & WISH Academy Schools offer two meals each day: breakfast and lunch. All meals are free to students, but we do request that meals be pre-ordered to help us ensure the correct quantity and choice.

All meals provided by WISH schools are delivered to us daily by a third-party vendor - Unity Meals. Therefore, having an accurate meal count is important to ensure every child receives the meal of their choice. We are also making a concerted effort to avoid food waste, so please only order meals on those days you know your child will want to participate in the School Nutrition Program.
