Approach to Education

In 2021-2022 a WISH Academy Sophomore team designed and built a mechanism to study wave propagation in water in microgravity. Their device will be on the Blue Origin New Shepard Mission NS - 35 launch on Saturday, Aug 23 and will operate in microgravity for three minutes during the sub-orbital flight. This competition is through TechRise, sponsored by Future Engineers and anchored to NASA. The team was awarded a $1500 grant from TechRise to compete.

The launch will be livestreamed on Blue Origin's website at https://blueorigin.com/live with the launch window opening at 7:30 AM CDT (5:30 AM PDT) and the livestream starting 15 minutes prior. After the launch, the webcast will be archived on Blue Origin's Youtube channel.
