Westchester July 4th Parade Recap: Rhythm of Our Nation - American Music

Thank you for turning out to show your support of the entire WISH community at the Westchester 4th of July parade. We had an excellent turnout during the float building and many amazing folks showed up to walk in the parade or join us on the float! A huge thank you to Summer Lucas and Orla Ordubegian who led the singing on the back of the float by leading the vocals for Dancing in the Streets! Congratulations to Sydney Abad for singing the National Anthem to open the parade. Three cheers for Max Mendelsohn, Sydney Abad, and Joshua Sims who represented our first senior class in the parade, and to the many elementary, middle, and high school students and families who dressed up and danced their way down Loyola Blvd!  A shout out to Devan Makwana for wearing the Owl costume and to Eli Potruch for leading the float with his amazing flips! Thank you to Lynda Modaff and Steve O'Loughlin, for sharing your home for float decorating and for designing the giant mural for the students to paint and all of the surrounding items on the float. It was a beautiful design! Thank you to Raj Makwana for securing and driving the truck and setting up our WISH singers on the float! And a big thank you to our 4th of July Parade committee chair, Kimberlie Traceski - thank you for your perseverance, creativity, and vision for this year's float - you are incredible!
