As we welcome our WISH volunteers this year and build upon our tenet of family partnerships, we need to ensure our volunteers have all participated in one of our training sessions. If you are considering working closely in any capacity with our WISH students at school this year you will need to complete a training session first. This applies to all WISH grades, TK through 10.
Final Volunteer Training Session - This Thursday
Our final volunteer training session will take place on Thursday, September 20th at 5:30 pm in the ES Library. This session will lead us into our first WCA meeting and Community Education Night. Please join us for the training, and stay for our community events.
If you are unable to make this final orientation session, but you would still like to become a volunteer on campus, please email Sara for ES, Michelle for MS, or Tenisha for HS so we can make other arrangements for training.
TB Test Reminder - In addition to the training orientation session, all volunteers must provide the WISH office with a copy of a current tuberculosis test reflecting a negative result. TB tests are good for four years, so if you have had a test within that time frame, please bring a copy of the result to the office for our files. Unfortunately, we can not permit parents or other community members to volunteer in classrooms or on campus without completing these two requirements.
