I wish families and welcome to back to school night my name is Myles Reimer and I'm a partner at Ernst & Young a large accounting but most of all I'm a wish. member of the board of directors my wife Melissa is part of the Debussy a leadership team and we are thrilled for the first time to have all three of our children at wish and even more excited that they are back Emory is in fiber Pastor Manning Presley is into a with misconduct and Jack is in KB with mister please I am here to get off for annual fundraising drive when I heard about this I was wondering why we need to fundraise at a public school well I'm going to tell you why the state of California provides us just over now $1,000 for each student to educate them however wish we spend just under $11,000 to educate each of our students based on our core beliefs and tennis leaves us with a $1,500 Gap per student which education includes physical education classes and competitive sports teams to keep our students strong and healthy robust integrated technology and stem instruction for every student online software that keeps her school running virtually as well as in person on science equipment on Library and new book on our fantastic music program on our wonderful visual performing arts program on outdoor garden and 3D printers for students to Foster creativity so they can change the world go back to work. We need to raise $1,500 per student we know that the last 18 months have been challenging the pandemic has negatively impacted RJ are wages our families and our kids we know that everyone cannot give the full amount you're asking or what is nearly as important as amount of dollars we raise is a number of families who participate we need a hundred Centre Station having a hundred percent participation increases our ability to receive grants and donations from donors it also shows that our wish families are all in in addition to your donation it's a way to die teachers are administrators and our staff who continually pivot in putting countless hours during virtual and hybrid school and most recently have worked literally 24 hours a day 7 days a week opener School in Traverse all safety protocols is necessary and required so our kids can see their friends and continue their education on campus let's show them all of our appreciation thank you so much to have a I have the opportunity to share with you and how it is influence is my family's commitment to the annual fund Drive our son has attended wishes for third Urgent Care on the successful road to college my son is academically and socially and emotionally it's filled with the help of the witch Community which works hard to make sure our children experiments inclusivity and we give to the annual fund drive we close the gap between we need to create a rich learning experience for our children and what we actually get from the government to fund public school student the ask is $1,500 per student but please give what you can we know everyone have different circumstances some families at least pay on it once and others give a set amount that works for them each month whatever it is please note that it does make a difference let's get 100% of our family is donating this year thank you I'm Andrew Martin and I wish parents first exterior which we have a 5th grader and we have two second graders who have had amazing teachers every year we feel very lucky to be here wish to be part of this community we we love the fact that our kids get to be involved in things like music and art Kiki to the library and especially important to me as though I've had the chance to volunteer in the garden almost every year than I had a child as you haven't been out there or if you have you know this is really special place for the kids to go maybe once a week get out of their classrooms breathe some fresh air into give a little dirty and choose whatever they want to go in there for each class cuz if you don't spot any class cannot decide what goes in that pot whether it's fruits or vegetables plants flowers and over the course of the year they will maintain it they water it they watch their plants grow and then maybe by the end they get to taste something they've never faced before eat some supper fruit watch plants grow and learn and we know these things wouldn't be possible without the wish annual giving which is why my family gets we give monthly and we ask that you give to it however way you can thank you
