National Longitudinal Transition - Study #3
WISH’s emphasis on academic excellence for every child has resulted in some truly amazing data. It is evident that WISH students are learning and achieving at the highest possible levels. From 2011-2013, LAUSD measured student performance using a standardized test called the “Academic Performance Index” or API. During those years, WISH students annually increased its scores and was ranked 9 of 10, making WISH one of the top-ranked schools in California. Since transitioning to the Common Core-aligned Smarter Balanced statewide assessment, WISH students continue to achieve impressive results!
