On Friday, May 3rd, WISH Charter's 4th and 5th grade students participated in unique "in-school field trips" designed to present social studies and history curriculum through literacy and performing arts. The programs are called "Walk Throughs" and are presented by California Weekly Explorer, with the idea that history is better "experienced" than read, and that having students relive history gives them an opportunity to relate and connect to the events and people of our past. Funds for this hands-on experience were raised by the WISH Community Association to bring this opportunity to our students!
