Technology Information

Technology is an essential part of your child's education and WISH is ready and equipped to help your child succeed. WISH provides Chromebooks for every student, one-to-one, and uses a number of educational platforms to deliver excellent instruction to students.

Should you need any support with anything technology related — whether it's a username/password on Canvas, a malfunctioning Chromebook, a question about a student's curriculum access, or anything else — you and/or your student can contact our tech team through the Help Center (link) to submit a ticket. Our goal is to respond to all tickets within 24 to 48 hours. You will receive all replies via the email address you provide when you submit your ticket.

WISH offers several technology programs for families:

Chromebook Take Home Program

At WISH Middle and WISH Academy High School, we provide a Chromebook to every student to take home during the school year. Chromebooks and chargers are issued to students at orientation or during the first week of school. Students are responsible for the safe and respectful use and care of their Chromebook. Materials are to be returned at the end of the school year.

At WISH Elementary School, we provide a full set of Chromebooks to every classroom for use on campus.

A note regarding lost, stolen, damaged, or otherwise non-functional materials: Lost materials, and materials damaged through willful misconduct, may be the financial responsibility of the family of the student. Repairs and replacements range in cost from $25 to $500. In the event of theft or vandalism, a police report from the jurisdictional law enforcement agency is required. Please see CA Ed Code 48904 and LAUSD Bulletin BUL-5509.3 for further information.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program

WISH Middle and Academy High students have the option to use a personal device in place of a school Chromebook. WISH requires minimal software installations on a personal device: Google Chrome and a few secure testing applications. To request more information, or if your student wishes to participate in this program, please submit a request through the Help Center (link).
