Starting in the spring of 2014, WISH added team sports to its impressive core offerings, teaching the merits and benefits of teamwork, competition and sport to roughly 100 students per year.  WISH Team Sports is part of the FIYA league (http://onfiya.org/) competing against teams from charter, private and public schools.

WISH offers the following sports throughout the year for Division 1 (7th & 8th Grade) and Division 2 (5th & 6th Grade). Certain events will also be open to Division 3 (3rd & 4th Grade).

The Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation's Sports Matter Program has chosen WISH as one of only 2 schools in Los Angeles to be part of their nation-wide campaign to save team sports programs! Gold medalist and world record holder, Olympian Bruce Jenner has signed on as our local Ambassador to support WISH Charter. Superbowl-winning coach, Jon Gruden is one of the National Ambassadors for the program, and WISH's Track & Field program has the honor of having two-time Olympian, and WISH dad, Bayano Kamani as the school's personal Ambassador for its Sports Matter campaign.
