All students at WISH are held to high standards of academic excellence. Teachers are trained in innovative instructional practices and implement GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) instructional strategies from transitional kindergarten through the 8th grade for all students.

WISH is consistently ranked among the top charter schools in California. Since transitioning to the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), WISH students continue to test far above the state average in math and English proficiency.
